Let It Snow...Let It Snow...Let It Snow...

Pictures of the snow outside my home this morning. Right now, I'm enjoying my cup of coffee, the pretty snow falling outside, and the warmth of the wood stove inside! I live just east of Albuquerque in the Sandia Mountains at about 6900 feet. It is 13 degrees (F) outside at 8:00AM and we're supposed to have snow, wind and very cold temps through Tuesday.

We've already had 10 and 1/2 inches overnight and  more is coming down.  If I don't have to travel, it looks pretty nice.  I am supposed to go to the doctor in Albuquerque this afternoon and THAT might be a bit icey-dicey.  So I just may cancel!

...as long as I can stay inside and enjoy the fire.

May you be safe if you're traveling in bad weather today.

  1. Where would we be without our woodstoves! The view out your window looks awfully similar to mine today - we got about 8" overnight and it's still coming down here, too. Blcch. Stay warm and stay home.

  3. I love the homey warm amidst all that snow. Me and spouse are going to explore mountainous New Mexico over the succeding years as we will visiting the grandchildren in Arizona a lot (spring, summer and fall)but flying in the winter season. We were spooked badly on I40 between Albugquecue and Flagstaff one Christmas on the way to visit sister in law and hubby in Phoenix. :)

  4. I agree. Those of the interior are nicely composed.

I especially like the three in the middle, a series of views over the front porch using different geometric shapes. Very interesting.
