First Snow of the Season for Albuquerque

Winter wind and snow arrived this week and our house in the foothills of Albuquerque got several inches of snow.  The temperature dropped to below freezing so it may stay on the ground for a day or two.  No need to shovel the snow, unlike our former house in the mountains east of Albquerque.

Looking like a Winter Wonderland

The foohills are covered with snow falling

Had to fill those bird feeders for my feathered friends

Santa Fe was looking beautiful, too.

By Thursday, all the snow was gone and the temperature was back to a balmy 58 degrees F.  That's winter in Albuquerque

  1. Remindful of visiting my sons family in Greeley. Two feet of snow one day. All gone three days later....:) Here on the tundra our snow will last well into March.
