'Tis Fall, Finally, and the Flowers Are Flaunting Their Finest Foliage

I do a daily walk around my neighborhood in the foothills of Albuquerque.  I walk west on Candelaria, then north on the Tramway Blvd. bike and walk pathway through Prairie Dog Village, past the Roadrunner's family nest (Mom, Dad and three youngsters), then up Commanche Rd. toward the mountain and finally south through the Casa Grande Linear Park.

The late summer flowers are in their finally blooms and going to seed.  The prairie dogs are getting fat for winter when they will be largely dormant.  Last Sunday I took a scenic walk and took pictures of this colorful natural refuge in an urban setting.
