Classic Actor, Singer and All Around Great Person: Mandy Patinkin

Well, Saul Berenson survived "Homeland" afterall.

I really thought Carrie was going to kill him off in the Series Finale, but in a twist, he continues to manage his spies, now to include Carrie (played by Claire Danes).  After eight seasons, the Showtime series of Homeland is over.

I can never get enough of Mandy Patinkin (the actor who played Saul Bersenson in Homeland).  I have grown up with Mandy since first falling in love with him when he portrayed "Che," in the Broadway musical "Evita"in 1980 along with my most favorite Evita (Patti LuPone).  I almost wore out my Evita soundtrack listening to his tenor to baritone voice and Patti LuPone's beautiful mezzo-soprano voice..

Mandy is such a wonderful and complete actor - doing musical theater, drama and comedy.  His classic comedic role as Inigo Montoya in The Princess Bride is remembered by everyone who saw that classic movie.

Mandy Patinkin has a long history of muscial theater.   His classic singing is memorialized in many You Tube performances.

Mandy Patinkin's career had been plagued with a fear of failure and his endless striving for prefection that he eventually got counseling for. He learned to "embrace the fear" to be a better actor.

Mandy is a humanitarian and loving family man.  He has his own You Tube Channel:

Here he is on the Stephen Colbert Show  in 2015 talking about  humanity and lessons learned from Saul Berenson.
