Remembering "Bloody Sunday" - March 7, 1965 Selma, Alabama

Heather Cox Richardson's Blog (Letters From An American) entry for March 7, 2021 recounts the movement to win civil rights for Black Americans during the 1960's.  She tells us about the sacrifices made by White and Black Americans who marched and fought for the right to vote for Black people in the American South, and describes "Bloody Sunday" when the Selma police beat peaceful protestors on March 8, 1965.
