We got our first significant snow in the
East Mountains near Albuquerque, New Mexico, this weekend. By this morning, we already had 6 1/2 inches of snow and it was still snowing. I shoveled snow for an hour in the 17 degree (Fahrenheit) weather and tried to make a snowman but the snow was so dry and light, I could not compact it. I hope this is the beginning of a good winter season with lots of precipitation (unlike last year).
